Maldivian Idol

Remember that trashy <put your country here> Idol show who looked for the x-th time for someone who can sing and then we all forgot about that superstar again after they hit the charts once? And remember how the show went to the Maldives for one episode since… well, who doesn’t like good looking people singing on the beach in the Maldives on TV?

I imagine Maldivian TV doesnt have a huge budget. The good news for them however is that they don’t have to travel far for their beach episode of the show. Or maybe even better, and every episode took place on the beach. Maybe they were even able to use some props from the European shows?

I just wonder how many superstars there are in this island nation of 400’000.
